See the World Through Youthful Looking Eyelids
If you have a perpetually tired look to your eyes, removing droopy, sagging or puffy eyelid skin can make a vast difference in your appearance. Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, rejuvenates the eye area, leaving you looking well rested, youthful and awake. For patients whose sight is impaired by sagging eyelids, this procedure will also help to restore vision.
Eyelid Surgery Procedure by Dr. Eric Weiss
Dr. Weiss begins your initial consultation by reviewing before and after photos of other eyelid surgery patients, and will help you select the level of correction for you to achieve your desired look. All applicable costs will also be reviewed during this confidential appointment.
Surgery is available to correct both the upper and lower eyelid areas. Incisions are placed along the natural creases of the eyelids and the extra fat, skin, and muscle is removed. Generally, patients can expect eyelid surgery to take less than three hours to complete.
Side effects consist of bruising, swelling and light sensitivity—all of which will dissipate within ten days post-procedure. Contact lenses can be worn immediately after eyelid surgery, although the use of any eye make-up is restricted until after the sutures are removed.
