Brachioplasty or Arm Lift reshapes and firms your arms for smoother skin and younger-looking contours.
Weight fluctuations, aging, and even genetics can cause your arms to have a drooping, sagging appearance.
Exercise may strengthen and improve the underlying muscle tone, but it cannot address excess skin, weakened tissues or localized fat deposits. This procedure removes your excess fat, tighten the skin, and give you a boost in confidence to wear clothes that show off your arms.
The surgery to tighten skin after massive weight loss (60 lbs.) is quit different from the standard techniques used for most patients. There is more skin and more of a propensity to stretch and hang after surgery.

Dr. Weiss begins your initial consultation by reviewing before-and-after photos of other Brachioplasty or Arm Lift patients to help you select the level of correction for you to achieve your desired look. All applicable costs will also be reviewed during this confidential appointment.
A Brachioplasty or Arm Lift is performed under general anesthesia by Dr. Eric Weiss, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Jacksonville, FL. He removes excess skin and tissue in the underarm area from the elbow to the armpit. The skin is then pulled tight and sutured during the two-to-three hour procedure.
To maximize results for skin contour, compression garments will need to be worn during the recovery period. Normal activity can be resumed within 7-10 days, but no heavy lifting for 2-4 weeks. Swelling is typical, and there may be some mile-to-moderate discomfort over the first few days.
