Eliminate Stubborn Fat with Liposuction
As fat deposits settle into the neck, arms, abdominals, thighs and buttocks, otherwise healthy individuals can experience a loss of self-confidence in their appearance. Unfortunately, exercise and diet don’t always address these problem areas— liposuction, also known as lipoplasty, will restructure the body by removing this excess fat build up and do wonders to improve your overall tone.
Liposuction Procedure by Dr. Eric Weiss
Dr. Weiss begins your initial consultation by reviewing before and after photos of other liposuction patients, and will help you select the level of correction for you to achieve your desired look. All applicable costs will also be reviewed during this confidential appointment.
During the procedure, a small incision is made in the targeted area for improvement and a hollow tube is inserted to vacuum unwanted fatty tissue and cells. Generally, patients can expect to be in surgery for at least two hours. Liposuction takes place under general anesthesia at Coastal Cosmetic Center’s nationally accredited surgery facility.
Liposuction should only be scheduled when patients have allotted a suitable amount of post-operative time for healing. Depending on the physical demands of employment, liposuction candidates should plan for anywhere between one to three weeks off from work, coupled with a lifting restriction of 15 pounds for three weeks post surgery. Expected side effects are temporary and include swelling, burning, numbness, bruising and soreness.
