Consultation
Dr. Weiss begins your initial consultation by reviewing before-and-after photos of other Eyelid Surgery patients. Together, he will help you select the level of correction for you to achieve your desired look. All applicable costs will also be reviewed during this confidential appointment.
Procedure
Surgery is available to correct both the upper and lower eyelid areas. Incisions are placed along the natural creases of the eyelids and the extra fat, skin, and muscle is removed. Generally, patients can expect Eyelid Surgery to take less than three hours to complete.
Recovery
Side effects consist of bruising, swelling and light sensitivity – all of which will dissipate within ten days post-procedure. Contact lenses can be worn immediately after eyelid surgery, although the use of any eye make-up is restricted until after the sutures are removed.
